Welcome to Macaroni Kid Panama City Savers

-->
First of all, thanks for coming to check out Ways 2 Save around Bay Town!! I know if you are here, it means you are ready to save LOTS of money and time! Well, you have made it to the right place!! Before you start, I want to let you know, in the beginning, it will be a little time consuming and take a lot of patience so I am going to give you a list of things I recommend  that will make your new life as a couponing Queen or King easier, get ready to gather some goodies!! If you have and questions, just ask.. Remember, this is going to be the first day of the rest of your new life of less stress from worrying about high grocery bills and having more cash to use on what matters in life!!  Are you ready yet!! I am so excited for YOU I can hardly wait!!
1.       Scissors
2.       Coupon Holder (accordion style)
3.       Portable File Box (To File Magazines/Inserts/Ect.)
4.       Printer(a lot of coupons will be printed from online, you will recover your cost in a couple trips to the grocery store)
5.       Black Sharpie (To write dates on Inserts before filing)

You will also need to start purchasing (2) Sunday Newspapers each week, YES, I did say (2) as well as (2) ALL YOU Magazines from Wal-mart which is a monthly publication.You can also get a subscription to ALL YOU but the in store, while it is about $2.89 each, it has secret coupons that the subscription does not and they are usually really good!
Your Sunday paper will have coupon inserts that will vary each week. The inserts are as follows:
·         Smart Source
·         Proctor and Gamble
·         Red Plum
Each week will not always have each insert and I will try and let you know before Sunday what inserts to be looking for. (Always make sure someone did not take the inserts before you leave the store, this is a big problem) Some Sundays, you will have 2 Smart Source for example (different coupons) and 1P&G , they just change it up and some weeks, you may have none. Also, when it is time to start making your lists, and I refer you to your 8/8 RP, That means August 8, Red Plum and you would look for the coupon in that specific insert.  SS means Smart Source and P&G is Procter and Gamble.
I may also tell you that there is a coupon from a blinkie or a tear off. Blinkies are the machines that are on the isles at the grocery stores. If you ever see one on anything you like or think you may want to try, grab a couple coupons, at least 2, whatever it is WILL go on sale. Resist the urge to buy things that are not on sale and on your list.  If you do, you will regret it next week (or soon) when it is BOGO and now you have already paid full price and could now have gotten 2 for almost FREE…. (YES, I am serious) And tear offs, these are coupons that are located on a tear pad on the isles, sometimes for free items if you buy the item indicated, sometimes, the item they are talking about will be, or will soon be BOGO so, you will really get more than the 1 FREE one, you will BUY ONE GET 2 FREE with the coupon….SO, be on the lookout….THESE are the coupons you file until you have a match, SSTTRREETTCHHH that money !! Are you getting excited yet!?! ?
PLEASE DO NOT GO AROUND THE STORE AND PULL OFF COUPONS FROM ITEMS YOU ARE NOT PURCHASING, THIS IS NOT PROPER COUPONING ETIQUETTE !!
Another excellent place for coupons is FACEBOOK, like the pages of things you like and a lot of the places have printable coupons, I will try and incorporate a place for great FACEBOOK printable coupons.
Soon, you will have a small stock pile of things you used to run out of and have to run to the store and buy, you will have unlimited Salad Dressings, Pasta Sauces, Pasta, Condiments, Cereal, Cake Mixes, Frostings, Brownie Mixes, Snack Foods, Peanut Butter, Oatmeal, Crackers, Side Dishes, Canned Goods, Instant Potatoes, Rice, Flour, Sugar, Spices, Dog Food and Treats, and if your freezer is deep enough, all the frozen food you can stuff into it and still close it….NOT to mention Household items like Laundry Detergent, Dish Liquid ,Paper Plates, Paper Towels,  Shampoo, Conditioner, Toothpaste, Mouthwash,  personal items. All of these things will build up and soon, you will only HAVE to buy perishables and replenish your other items when they are going to be FREE with coupons or almost FREE. Remember, most goods have a long shelf life, longer than we usually take to eat them. I mark all my goods with my sharpie with the month and year I bring them in the home, then I know when I got them and when they expire, makes it easy to see what needs to be used first!
I will soon have a list of the store coupon policies up so you can have them for future reference.  When the coupon match ups are posted up, I will also post them there.
